How is Automation different from Studio?

Which data sources does Automation support?
Excel, CSV, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and an inbound REST API. ERP, WMS, MES, and 1C connect through a supported data source or API; dedicated built-in connectors for them are not claimed.

How many print queues are included in the base license?
Up to five. A separately purchased Printer Pack adds five more queues and can be purchased multiple times.

Where is Automation installed?
On a Windows x64 computer or server for all users of that computer. Background execution runs as a Windows service, while the management interface opens in a browser at the address and port selected during installation.

How do I purchase and download Automation?
Choose the current offer in the product card: it will direct you to standard checkout or the sales team depending on the configured channel. The installer is published separately in Downloads.
The public date has not been announced. You can follow the news or apply for early access.
Which extensions are available for Automation?
Extended Printing generates ZPL and TSPL commands, additional workstations increase the number of concurrent users, and a Printer Pack adds five queues. Extensions are purchased separately.

How do I prepare Automation for the first run?
Connect a data source and review its schema and preview, prepare and publish a template, then build a route with the source, template, trigger, and printer queue. Before the first run, review Preparation mode and verify that the physical printer is ready.
Where do I create and publish a label layout?
Open the template library, create or edit the layout in the Label Designer, save the changes, and publish the ready version. A print route uses the published version, while version history remains available for review.
How do I find a job and review its history?
Open the print queue and use search, state filtering, and paging. Job details show the core information, execution attempts, and state transition history.
How do I verify the result and continue after a failure?
Review the completed result and label preview in the print journal. If an issue occurs, open the details: the interface shows the cause, related object, and allowed action. Run the job again only after resolving the cause and checking its state to avoid an unintended duplicate print.

How is Professional different from Automation?
It includes all Automation capabilities and adds custom fields, dynamic workflows, PostgreSQL, XML, and requests to external REST APIs.
What is a custom field?
It is a calculated field that transforms, combines, or supplements source values using a configured formula.
How does a scenario connect to printing?
A scenario prepares records step by step. A route links the input connector, published scenario version, template, and printer, then submits the job to the print queue.
How can I access Professional?
The product has not been publicly released yet. The prerelease version is available through AxioClub.

It includes all Professional capabilities and adds centralized workflow management, publishing and auditing, monitoring, and central directories.
What does monitoring include?
AxioLabel instances, jobs, print queues, printer status, and execution errors.
Which directories are managed centrally?
Templates, printers, data sources, custom fields, and workflows.
Can workflows be published centrally?
Yes, this is one of the planned Enterprise capabilities. The detailed model will be described after the product is stabilized.
